About that fun that I mentioned...

I thought that I had posted all the photoshoots that lemming23 bestowed upon me, but in sifting through my Photobucket account, I discovered that there is (a very large) one that I missed.

I'm quite certain that these have all been posted elsewhere, but there are bound to be people who have not seen them all, so, here they are. Some are the same image with slightly different coloration, but some seem to be exact duplicates. Not sure why that is, but I'm including everything.

I'm not overfond of this shoot, myself. I'm pretty sure that it was done around the time of his appendicitis, and he looks painfully thin and just plain uncomfortable in many of them. In fact, I'm tempted to think that the shots of him in the lighter-colored jacket were done at a different time, because he looks much healthier to me (or, maybe it's just the angle). In any case, there are still some striking shots here!

o wow. i've only seen a handful of these. thank you! thank lemming ♥ teh awesome. the top ones remind me of that promo pic they used for one of the times he was on Ellen DeGeneres' show..it was the pic they use before a commercial break saying "up next elijah wood." not sure if they are from the same shoot but he looks similar there

I'm actually awed by this photoshoot. His eyes are just so... they stand out so in these pictures. I feel moved. He's thin to the point of emaciation here - was this shortly after his op? And Jeez, I can't help thinking of concentration camp prisoners when I see those expressive eyes, that silent, unmoving mouth.

I know the shoot is from about that time, but I'm not sure if it was before or after the actual operation. I'm tempted to think it was before, though. In which case, he probably didn't feel at all well.

But, yeah, some really stunning shots. I just can't help looking at them and thinking, Ow.

Oh man... I'm glad I didn't bother to clean up the ones I have - these are wonderful! I know he's awfully thin here, but I always think of this shoot as "essence of Elijah".

Thanks bunnie and lemming23!! I had seen some of these but not all. I know what you mean about looking so thin and it probably being around the time of the appendicitis but I still like the shoot. His thinness really makes his eyes the focus even more than normal. Some of them do make me think OW though.

I think you're right. He really didn't look well in those shots in the dark jacket. His glow wasn't there, but it seems to be there in the ones with the light jacket. I believe you're right about them being done at different times. Thank you for posting these.

I agree with you and mews about the light jacket pics being from a different shoot. Whether he was healthier, just felt better, or the photographer had a better eye that day, who knows. But I can see a difference.

Thank you for posting these. I've always loved these photos: he's so ethereally beautiful. I never knew the time frame, so I understand your misgivings. It's pretty amazing to think he can be so lovely when he's not well. It is difficult to resolve the conflict of wanting to see him in every state, to know all about him, and wanting to protect him. No answers from me. I will still gaze and sigh over these pictures.

I've seen most of these in various places over the past couple of years, but I've never seen the pics where he's wearing the green shirt and sweater. It's amazing how wearing green makes his eyes look even bluer.

Looking at all these photos in one place, at one time overloads the central nervous system. Makes me feel a bit faint.

He did look pained in some of those didn't he? But serenely beautiful all the same. It's interesting to note the subtle changes in his face and although he still looks essentially the same, he is starting to lose the softness of his features. His face is becoming a little 'harder' to my mind and more masculine. When you see a face day in, day out, you don't notice the small changes but looking back at these, you do.

You are right mole_caz, his face becomes more masculine, not so soft anymore, which makes him more sexy, but somehow i regret, that his innocent look is lost a little. Nevertheless he is still beautifull.
