"Day Zero" in Austin, Texas

I've been asked to let you know that Day Zero will have a "To Be Announced" screening at the Austin Film Festival this Saturday, October 13 at 9:45 PM. I hope some of you can attend on such short notice. This couldn't be posted sooner because of the festival's restriction and desire to have an element of surprise. But it's out in the open now.

Austin Texas lurves Elijah. Elijah loves Austin (SXSW, I believe his brother lives there now). All of this makes the chances real good that he'll show for this one...Fingers crossed. (Of course, if he has to send regrets because he's busy [finally]shooting a certain biopic, all is forgiven)

I think the "element of surprise" is that it was announced so late. *g* It wasn't on the site when I looked a week ago.

Judging by the website, this appears to be a pretty big festival, so I hope DZ does well, too.

They have a lot of panels, workshops and parties, so it appears to be much better organized than Raindance was. I'm sure this festival is getting lots of newspaper coverage, too.

The website for the Lyon Hors-Ecran Film Festival (today) notes that Day Zero is the closing film, and then the closing ceremony will be "in the presence of the cast of the film". Has anybody heard anything about this yet? Any reviews? Sightings? According to my calculations (I'm in San Francisco)it should be over by now, or any minute...Any info greatly appreciated
