A question posed by
elijahs_mumble on his LJ about Elijah's favorite books got me started Googling to see if I could dig up some old interviews that involved book recs from him. I came across this really delightful blog post by Jessie, who was an extra in the office scenes from season 2 of Wilfred. It's quite long, and it's delightfully self-deprecating. She has nothing but kind words to say about our guy.
A small excerpt:
"Now, I would just like to take a moment and tell you something about Elijah Wood just for the sake of you knowing it. There are a lot of assholes in Hollywood. I’m not saying that anyone has a right to be an asshole, but if someone did have that right, I think that Elijah Wood would be somewhere near the top of that list. He’s earned it from the age of fetus… or however old he was when he started acting.
But he is not. In fact, I will honestly say (my love aside) that he seems like one of the nicest famous people I’ve ever encountered and maybe one of the nicest normal people, too. He was very modest and genuinely sweet to everyone around him. He was down-to-earth and seemed always interested to talk about anything but himself. If he wasn’t a star, and I just met him, I am pretty confident I would be just as smitten. So after this, go see his movies and watch his show and support kind, unaffected actors."
Reading stuff like this always makes me feel so proud. As if I had anything whatsoever to do with the lovely human being Elijah is, lol!

Date: 2012-09-10 08:24 pm (UTC)Seriously, you couldn't pay me enough money to be a celebrity. No way. Fame seems like the worst thing ever to me.

And from Elijah's point of view : if you find someone doodling, you probably shouldn't ask them about it.
Maybe we should show Jessie the Bunnie Bomb doodles Elijah was so fond of doing at some time. So Jessie could have her rehabilitation / redemption / revenge / whatever .
;o)
Love,
- Karin.
