EDIT #1: A friend just pointed out to me that Heloise and the Savoir Faire have a gig at Union Pool in Brooklyn tomorrow night. Maybe some production stuff going on? Anyway, she said a friend of hers would be at the show, and she'll pass along news of whether Elijah's there or not. I'm sure he will be.

EDIT #2: Found this: He's DJing an invite-only Bushmills gig tonight. We should keep an eye out for pictures.

EDIT #3: I'm almost certain that's Zach Cowie (aka Turquoise Wisdom) in the picture with Elijah.

You both (newleaf/overlithe) live so close to where he is now.. is there no possibility of you getting to town. You could get lucky! Or are you further away than it seems?

I'm an hour away by train from Midtown, probably an hour and a half from Brooklyn. Between distance, time (I have a dissertation deadline looming), and money, it's a little bit too far to go if I'm not sure he'll be somewhere. Alas. If something arises this weekend that looks promising, I'll try to make it.

I'm 2 hours south. Easy enough by train but as Newleaf said with out a definitive place to look for him or a specific event to attend its too far and NYC far too big to just hope. I have work in the morning so even if Id have had enough notice id never have made it today.

I went up for a Heloise show a few years back hoping he'd be there, fortunately he was. But IT was a LONG evening. Got up there in time for dinner show was at 10 ended at 12 ran to catch the last train back got in be at 4am...

So you see though it is close unless you are staying over...its a bit much... But maybe one day NewLeaf and I can collaborate and meet in the city and maybe we can do it while E is in town.
