I think the movie '(Green Street) Hooligans' is among Elijah's best documented movie projects, alongside 'Lord Of The Rings' and 'The Oxford Murders' , mainly because there are so many paparazzi photos (from outside locations), call sheets - - - and now, eventually, DVD bonus features available.

Regarding the call sheets to selected dates of the filming - is there really any nerd like me among you who wants to see them ? I might be persuaded to scan them for you.
- What are call sheets ? The Wikipedia definition :
"The daily call sheet is a filmmaking term for a sheet of paper issued to the cast and crew of a film production, created by an assistant director, informing them where and when they should meet for a particular day of shooting. Call sheets also include other useful information such as contact information (i.e. phone numbers of crew members and other contacts), the schedule for the day, which scenes and script pages are being shot, and the address of the shoot location." ( a more detailed definition can be found at http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Movie_Making_Manual-Call_Sheet )
They also contain informations about which cast members are required for which scenes to be shot.
Call Sheets are in parts quite interesting, because you get a lot of informations about which scenes were made When and Where and With Whom. You also get to know how early Elijah had to be there for his scenes, how long he spent in Make Up etc.
But there is of course a lot of superfluous information, like when the cast and crew had lunch, or maps how to get to the locations etc., etc.
Which is to say that in their entirety, they can get quite boring. So, is there really enough interest out there for me to scan them for you ? After all, '(Green Street) Hooligans' is NOT Elijah's most recent film project !

But back to the DVD bonus features
. This part will deal with the picture gallery / the slideshow .
The picture gallery on the German deluxe edition DVD is the same (I think, I didn't check each single picture) as on the plain German DVD.
I've done some screenshots of the pictures, using my camera to take photos of the screen, because I haven't got the hardware to do real screencaps. Whenever possible, I've replaced the screenshots by real pictures that had been downloaded at one time or another from the internet. However, I really like all of them, so if anyone among you owns real pictures of those shots I'm displaying below, please give me a helping hand, won't you ?
If you click the thumbnails below, you will be taken to screenshots or pictures in most cases approx. [1500 x 1000 pixels] large - apart from the very last one, which is a breathtaking [2500 x 1644 pixels] hi-res picture.
EDIT : All pictures below that are in the [3000 x 1980 pixels] to [3000 x 1998 pixels] range come from Bunnie , as posted in her comment below !
Oh - credits : presumably they are all by the official still photographer of this project, Giles Keyte .

There were a few more non-Elijah shots in the picture gallery / slideshow, but I didn't bother with those. Also, in my files are a few more stills in the [1500 x 1000 pixels] range, but as they were not included in the DVD, they didn't fit in here . . .
Sorry once again for the quality of the screen shots - will you provide me with better quality pictures of the very same motifs ? ? ?
Whenever I'll find the time, the next parts will deal with Elijah's interview on the DVD and the exclusive booklet pictures.

I'd be interested in seeing the call-sheet scans but to save you going to too much trouble, perhaps you could just scan in a one or two that you think are particularly interesting. You do so much for us Karin! Thank you.

Date: 2007-09-11 08:32 pm (UTC)I think the natural lighting and makeup in this film really showed up Elijah's real life beauty in ways that most of his other films don't. He's just absolutely drop-dead gorgeous in every scene, even covered in blood!
Seems we are all in a big melting pot here : 'like minds think alike' !

Now who will provide us with the missing shots, I wonder ? Every time we think we pretty much have seen it all of a certain occasion, somebody releases teasers of yet some more beauties, and we are hot on the trail once again . . .
