Listening to Elijah is rather like listening to my hubbie as a young man. He had [still has]a passion for the Blues and an appreciation of jazz artists like Miles Davis. I am so in awe of Elijah's musical knowledge it makes me feel very humble and uninformed!

I would just love to have Elijah explain at length what it is that draws him to certain songs, that makes him obsess over them, to use his word. Miles Davis is easy to understand, but some of his musical recs are anything but typical. I know he has reasons for his choices, and I would sure like to hear them. I think that sort of thing would be fascinating from him.

I think Elijah would love to do this. I could imagine him sitting for hours and losing all sense of time just sharing his obsession with people. He really should do a show or write a column or something one of these fine days.

Yeah, he could get really carried away with this topic, couldn't he? I hope he gets to do that radio show he talked about in the KEXP interview, as I agree it's something that just isn't out there and would be really interesting. And I'd love to hear him talk about this a bit if he does get to come to ORC next March.
