Hey everyone,
I don't know if this post is allowed, but i'm begging to leave it here untill sunday, please!
As I live in belgium, i'm going to travel to England on Sunday morning 'till monday afternoon to search Elijah on set!
I have to pay alot of money for this and it's not even sure if i will find him, so please any help is welcome now.
Does anyone have any idea where he might be on sunday and monday.
I read somewhere that they don't even film in weekends.. Is this true?
And someone told me that on monday they'd be filming in Greenwich London, does anyone know if this is correct?
I read here in another post that they'll be heading to Bushey?
I don't know where this is, but if anyone finds out if they will film there on sunday/monday too please let me know.
I will check this page alot, it's so important!

I don't mean to be a party-pooper... but this might not be the way to go about this. I dunno, it seems to be too much. Go on a little "celebrity search outing" for fun, most definitely. But I'd do it on my own without trying to pull a 'call out' for it...

Lol, Ok I understand that lots of you think it's silly but if I wanted I could have traveled alot of times to other countries to search for him, but I never did until now. I've been a fan for 11 years, and last month I just wanted to do something that would make me happy as i've had lots of bad luck the past 2 years. So when I read about the oxford murders I planned on searching the set.
I'm not the first fan to do this, I've read alot of reports of fans finding him on set.
I don't think that I will ever do this again, it's just a once in a lifetime experience for me.
And I won't stalk him lol, only if he has some free time i'll ask a picture with him, i would understand if he can't.

So that's why I asked if aynone could give me some information, I don't think that it's such a bad thing to do right?

Well it's not really bad per se... but this is "elijah_finds" not "find_elijah", lol... maybe there's a community that gives specific dates and times on when they're filming. Or if someone here knows, who knows.

check the IMDB board and see if anyone knows where he'll be next week. We know where he'll be the week after but not next week for sure. And no, it's not normal for filming to happen on a weekend, even actors get time off from filming.

Hi briansslacker -- I'm just wondering whether you've visited London before & if you realise what a huge place it is? The District Line (the tube/underground line) stretches from just outside East London to just outside West London, and it's about 40 miles long! (Don't ask me how many km that is!)

If they are going to film in Greenwich, and *if* they need to use a large, historic, impressive-looking building, then it's possible I suppose that they might be using the old Royal Naval College. But please remember this is just a wild guess on my part. I really have no idea. Plus ... you would be very unlikely to be allowed into the area where they were filming anyway.

You could possibly get yourself registered as an extra, as suggested here, but the chances of actually being able to get close to Elijah or to speak to him are very slim.

I would advise caution if it's going to cost you a lot of money and you are just going to turn up in London with a few vague ideas about where they will be filming -- it could be like looking for a needle in a very, very big haystack and you could easily end up exhausted, broke & very disappointed! Good luck though ...

Yes i've been to London several times in the past, but only like citytrip things.
I know it's huge, but i'm rather lucky that someone who'll also be searching for Elijah will drive up to the different places we heard they could be filming.
We know 2 locations (found at a website and this directors blog) where they MIGHT be. But it's not 100% sure and also not sure if Elijah will even be there.
If we can't find them in London we might drive up to Oxford but i'm not sure yet.
Anway, I know that the chance of not finding him exists, but the chance of meeting him also exisist.
I told myself i'm going to consider this as a adventure, and that I will enjoy the time there wether i find him or not.

Do you know anything about traffic in London? Do you know that, in central London, it's actually quicker to walk than to drive?! Trains & the Tube might well be quicker! You can buy daily Travelcards for a reasonable price that should take you almost anywhere in the London area.

If we can't find them in London we might drive up to Oxford but i'm not sure yet.

I'm pretty certain that Alex (the director) said in his blog that they have not begun filming in Oxford yet.

Anway, I know that the chance of not finding him exists, but the chance of meeting him also exisist.

Probably Alex's blog is the best source of info about what they are doing from day to day. I expect you understand that finding him will not necessarily be the same thing as actually meeting him! But I wish you good luck if you do decide to come over here. I'm not trying to totally put you off -- just trying to be realistic about your chances!

I'd be happpy if I just saw him from a distance. That'd be more than ok for me.
But like any other person who tries to do this, I do hope that I can speek to him too.

I just tried to look up Bushey in my London A-Z, and it's just slightly off the map -- though I spotted a Wood Street and the Underhill Playing Fields, so it sounds quite hobbity! ;-)

There are some big movie studios not far away from there (Borehamwood & Elstree) but I doubt they'll be using those. I wonder exactly what kind of scenes they are filming in Bushey? Yes, I think you can get close to there on the Underground, but if you happen to be driving there is this site:

Hehe, in a way it's crazy but it might be good fun, too! :-) Again I wish you luck with it all. It's just that I would have felt bad about it, having seen your plans, if I had not spoken out about some of the difficulties you might encounter. We were wondering how you were getting along, knowing afterwards that you'd chosen the day they were going to film the sex scenes, so it would have all been done indoors. But you did it anyway -- good for you! :-D

hey guys, lol it's ok because i also thought that the chances were kind of low.
But here it goed:

I've been searching for days to find more info on where the set would be on monday, and i only read at the directors blog that they moved to Bushey on friday so me and my boyfriend took the risk and went from Belgium to England.
There was this guy on the internet named Paul, and he's an artist that had made a painting of frodo (he wanted to have his gignature on it) and we agreed to meet and search for him.
When we got to Bushey (the artist was drving) we came by a school named "International University Europe" and there we saw alot of vans, busses and light so we were pretty sure that we found the set. We asked a security guy and he confirmed that it was the oxford murders set but that there was no way that we could get in. Anyway, about half an hour later we did manage to get in and after only a few minutes we saw Elijah standing at his trailer. He was smoking a sigarete and was talking to his girlfriend Pamala. We went up to him and asked if we could get a picture and he was like "yeahs sure guys".
My boyfriend went first but he forgot to give me the camera so he and Elijah stood there posing and smiling at me lol, that was so funny. So after I got the camera I took the picture and then I went up to him. He put his arm around me and I felt my heart beating like crazy lol, I was very nervous.
After the pic was taken he signed the painters works and he looked very impressed. He signed one of my posters and he asked my name, so it sais "Rebecca, much love Elijah Wood".
I started talking about him, I asked how he was doing and if he was enjoying the filming.
He said that he was very good and that the recordings were very busy but he was having a great time.
I had all these things prepared in my head to ask him, but I got so nervous that I completely forgot them.
So I said "I'm so nervous" and at that very moment I dropped all my posters. Elijah was such a sweetheart and picked them all up. He gave them back but I dropped some more so he picked those up too. I've never been so embaresed in my whole life!! So I was mumbling something like "you shouldn't be doing this" but he said that it was ok.
After that a guy came on and said to Elijah that the set was ready so he had to go and said bye.
Some other security guy came up to us and asked who we were and how we got on so we went away to not get in trouble.
It was so great and i'm happy that i did this.
I have everything on film so when I have some time I will make screenshots and might post them on this board too.
I didn't know that they were filming the sex scenes so we were very lucky to get in and even find him!
