BBC Radio 6 Nemone interview
Dec. 8th, 2006 07:28 pmThe BBC 6music interview is up (streaming) Here
Starts at 1:56:30.
A normal Mumble, music and simian related interview but finishes with some extreme music geekery LOL (they make the mistake of asking him what track he wants them to play).
Edit: Actual BBC page is here (which might work better)
The actual BBC link is here:

Date: 2006-12-08 11:14 pm (UTC)bunnie is it ok if I make an entry just of these downloadables once I have them up? I figure if I post them in their respective entries, some of which are older now, people may not notice so it won't do much good.

Date: 2006-12-09 12:34 pm (UTC)Yeah, the standard promo stuff was pretty much just normal, but anytime someone gets Elijah talking about music, 'normal' ceases right there! I love his enthusiasm, and he really tried to set them a challenge with his choice of track. Then again, they had an advantage since the interview was pre-recorded, and they had a bit of time to locate his song.
He really loves that Yama Yama doesn't he? Second time I've heard him rec it in an interview recently (the first being his October 31st interview on KEXP).

Date: 2006-12-10 06:28 am (UTC)The one he played from his ipod on KEXP was called La Mon de Fabilo de Yamazuki by the Yamazuki singers (I made up the spelling of course but that's what it sounds like from his pronunciation.) When the BBC played their song I thought, hang on, that's not the same song. I'm sure he asked for the same one but I might have misheard him

Date: 2006-12-10 12:58 pm (UTC)No, I didn't notice! But I went back and listened again to the KEXP interview, and you are so right! I paid particular attention to how he intro'd the song on KEXP, and he definitely said that track was called Yama Yama, so... did he stump BBD Radio 6? Couldn't they find that track? Or were they just careless in which one they played?
Somehow, it makes me proud of Elijah that he requested something BBC 6 apparently either didn't have, or aren't as knowledgeable as he is concerning this band. hehe
