(Multichannel News) _ Hallmark Channel, Warner Bros. and Burger King are promoting a pair of penguin movies.
The three companies teamed to support Friday's theatrical release of Happy Feet and the U.S. network premiere of Academy Award-winning documentary March of the Penguins on Hallmark Nov. 25.
Beginning Nov. 20, custom vignettes, created by Hallmark's sponsorship-solutions unit, interspersing footage from the theatrical and featuring Happy Feet stars Robin Williams and Elijah Wood answering trivia questions, will run on Hallmark throughout the week.
The vignettes also tout Burger King's Kids Regular Meals, which are now offering a Happy Feet-inspired penguin premium toy.
Those vignettes follow an earlier round titled The Penguins Are Coming, which combined footage from Happy Feet and March of the Penguins. They began airing on the network Nov. 6 and conclude their run Friday.
"This customized campaign is yet another example of how Hallmark Channel continues to service the needs and expectations of advertising clients," vice president of advertising sales Bill Abbott said in a prepared statement. "This also underscores the value of Hallmark Channel's brand and the extension it offers for clients to align themselves not only with us, but with our partners, as well. This triple partnership is especially rewarding because it allowed Hallmark Channel to attract Burger King as a new advertiser on the network."

This is going to take a lot of people keeping a look-out for Elwood and our fingers on the record buttons!
