btw, i don't believe the first paragraph of this article has anything to do with the movie. i feel it's only there to bring the point up of the tired overdramatization, however effective paraphrasing of a line from speed.
That was my thought, too. Pop-culture reference(s, because I still think the mention of the Rach 3 is merely a second reference, this time to Shine), not actual news.
And as soon as I read "Hitchcockian," I went "OOH YAY!" I have a bit of a Hitchcock obsession. And I can totally envision Elijah channeling Jimmy Stewart to play an emotionally-fragile concert pianist playing for his (and his wife's) life.
