'Scuse me, but my coffee hasn't quite kicked in yet, but did Elijah do a movie that we don't know about?

I got this alert today. From the Baltimore Sun:

David Arquette and Thomas Jane will appear Sunday at The Senator Theatre for a showing of their movie, "The Tripper", with all proceeds going to the theater's preservation fund.

Arquette's directorial debut watches as a serial killer obsessed with President Ronald Reagan sets his sights on a concert that has drawn a group of latter-day twentysomething hippie-types. The group includes Jaime King, Elijah Wood, Balthazar Getty and Jason Mewes, while the concert's host is played by Paul Reubens. Jane, a Baltimore native best known for starring in The Punisher, gets to be the town sheriff.

Tickets are $8 for the 7:30 p.m. screening. Arquette and Jane will conduct a post-film Q&A.

This article is dated today, April 13, 2007.

IMDb doesn't list Elijah as being in this movie nor does Hollywood.com. It's listed as a 2006 release, but it also says that the release date is in 2007?

*scratches head* :-/

Is this another case of misinformation? Like when Elijah is said to be in a film called "Life without Dick" though he wasn't?

ETA: I see now that the original release date was for a couple of festivals, but still...

Elijah said in a fairly recent interview that The Passenger was a go, that Iggy had approved the script and that filming should start soon. But I just read this article and interview with Iggy, and it sounds like he may like the script but hasn't actually given it the go ahead:

"I've just seen the 'Passenger' script," the suntanned, sinewy rocker says smiling and curling up with his only vice ("just a straight cuppa Joe") in a booth at his Hollywood hotel cafe. "And they definitely wanna make it, but it hasn't quite happened yet; I know that for a fact because they don't have my permission yet. And I'm not debating. I'm just not in a hurry."

He sets down his cup, flexes his skull-ring-adorned fingers, and says, "I'm still just a little too alive. How 'bout if I'm just a little dead? Maybe when I'm a little deader, they can make my movie."

I'm starting to wonder if this film will ever be made. :/ I'm hoping that the interview is actually older than it sounds, and that things have changed since he said this.
