Elijah ES DE PUTA MADRE.

And the translation is...

Elijah IS SUPER-AMAZING. That’s the sensation he gives, after the first day of essays. Perhaps he’s a SUPER-PROFESIONAL, and he controls until last gesture who he does when speaking, but isn’t important, in any case, authentic or not, he’s a monster, it’s really easy work with him, it’s an AUTHENTIC ENJOYMENT, he follows my mind and he controls perfectly the script, the personage and his motivations. A BENEFIT, one authenticates lesson. Few I know, lives God, so maleables and so arranged to do EXACTLY everything one requests them. Only Carmen Maura, perhaps. And Alex Angulo. For something the good Elijah is working from 8.

Sorry for my english.

Don't apologize... we get the basics of his blog entry from your translation. Except I'm not sure how you get super-amazing from puta madre hehe. But a literal tranlation isn't spot on, either. De la Iglesia is obviously being highly complimentary of Elijah's acting skill, his professionalism, and his willingness to truly take direction. It was a real pleasure reading this entry and your translation. Thank you so much for posting it.

I guess they must be doing rehearsals now. Thanks for the translation. We always have heard how amazing Elijah is at his acting skills, and it's good to hear it again!

I hope Alex continues to update his blog.

Any chance you can provide a link to his blog? Not that I'm gonna go bug him, but I'd like to be able to point a friend there who can perhaps clarify little oddities like "he's a monster." ??? LOL

Google is your friend....

His blog:
http://blasfemandoenelvrticedeluniverso.blogspot.com/

(Scroll down and you'll see that Alex is quite taken with Pamela...no doubt this will elicit much negativity from some quarters)

Alex's main page:
http://www.clubcultura.com/clubcine/clubcineastas/delaiglesia/index.htm
"monstruo" = just exceptional....

If you look at the comments on the blog, and unfortunately here as well, yes, the negative comments are out in full force.

I'd like to say I'm surprised, but no.

If Alex is getting negative comments about Pamela on his blog that is utterly shameful. (I can't understand any of the comments myself.) I suppose it must be a bunch of silly jealous teenagers who think they are in high school - instead of realising they are posting on the blog of a movie director. If Elijah discovered what his "fans" (and I use the term loosely) were posting I have no doubt he would be appalled.

I don't see any mention, since its not in english who knows what his real thoughts were,if this is so I'm not suprised she was behaved since she wants to get her piece of the action. Rolf.

I'm sorry, but by saying this you presume to know her thoughts. I don't believe that is a valid presumption. It's one thing to say you don't like her, quite another to interpret her behavior in this way.

With all due respect, I think perhaps you had better re-read the rules of this LJ community and try to uphold them. You continue to make negative suggestions about Pam's character and their relationship here at this community. You are entitled to your opinons of course, but the rules about these sorts of comments are stated quite clearly on the information page. If you want to make negative remarks about Pam I would suggest it might be better to post them on your own LJ where you are free to set your own rules.

Out of interest I looked up this blog site and put a translation on it. This was the caption under the two pics of Pam.
More photos of the girl of Elijah, and a portadita of disc. They touch like teloneros of Manu Ciao.

And this was under the Gogol Bordello picture of her signing someone's boxers.
For God's sake. Here I am espabilado again to five in the morning. I take advantage of to hang this photo of the fiancèe of Elijah, Pamela. Impressive, and its group, also. Type Fanfarria Ciocarlia has a point gipsy that drives crazy to me. Slight woman.

Well, I did notice the use of the word fiancée but thought that it was more than likely a translation error. On the other hand of course it could be true which would be rather interesting.

To be honest I don't think it could be. Probably a translation error. Elijah once said he couldn't see himself getting married until his 30s. People do change their minds of course, but still, he's only 26 - just a baby! :D

Gryn! Consider that at age 26, Sean Astin had been married for at least three years, maybe four, and had a one-year-old daughter... ;-)

Oh, and WORD on the meltdown. :D

Yes Sean got married quite young didn't he? Well young for this day and age. My grandmother got pregnant and THEN married at 17!

Probably this is a cultural thing (I'm an Aussie) but I don't understand your last sentence. Is the way you've used the word 'WORD' a slang term? Sorry - *feels embarassed*

Yes--you're absolutely right that it's a cultural thing. I'm sorry; I didn't stop to think about how many different countries and languages are represented on LJ! But yes, in the U.S., "Word!" is a way of saying, "I agree wholeheartedly," often with overtones of, "You made that point in a succinct and accurate way, not to mention with a touch of snarkiness/wittiness that I find amusing and/or relevant." As you can see, "Word!" requires rather fewer keystrokes. :D Sorry for the confusion!

Oh right! :D Thanks for clearing that up! I read it over and over and thought, I think I'm missing something here! Glad it's just a cultural slang thing and not just me being dumb (which happens a lot!) Anyway, I read and copy that! ;D

For wanting a life changing event to happen in a life of someone you dont even know just to see the reaction of a bunch of people on the internet is pretty sad. You need to get out more.

Also, the real translation is:

Spanish for Fiancee : prometida
Spanish for wife :esposa, mujer
Spanish for Girlfriend: Novia / Polola (po-LO-la)

Sorry to disappoint but people really should check their facts and stop going to crappy translation sites such as babelfish. Sorry to interupt the panty wetting.
