lemming23. Unfortunately, though they are unwatermarked, the quality is terrible on most of them, I suppose because they want you to shell out the dough for the best versions. Better but smaller versions of most of them have appeared in the past.
I don't personally care much for this shoot, even though it produced one of my favorite photos of Elijah. Many of the poses are awkward, the proportions seem odd, and I get the feeling that the photographer really didn't "get" Elijah. Nevertheless, there are definitely some keepers in here.
The files are huge in most cases, and I have no idea why that is. Sorry about that. Consequently, nowhere near dial-up friendly.

I think it's a telling thing that two out of the three shots selected for the magazine are not so much posed as captured:

Date: 2007-01-07 08:23 pm (UTC)I've always loved the one of him resting his head on the box. And the "wink" photo. And the last two in the series!
Thanks for posting these!

Date: 2007-01-07 08:49 pm (UTC)And I love the 8th one up, in which he is rolling his eyes! I may have to employ my very limited icon making skills to that one; it could come in handy!

Date: 2007-01-08 05:46 pm (UTC)Hence, the reason why one of my favorite shots came from this shoot. I love the one where he's jumping on the mattress, but even more, I love one of the West Coast t-shirt shots, where he's sitting on the box with his arms in front of him with his elbows turned in and his fingers interlaced, and just the hint of a smile on his face. I LOVE that shot, and when I first appeared I was compelled to rhapsodize in my LJ about it (and it was my layout and default icon for months). When I look at that shot, I see pure Elwood, no frills, no facade, and oodles of self-confidence. Very "boysy" and comfortable in his own skin, and a beautiful sight to see. :)

Date: 2007-01-08 11:44 am (UTC)It must be hard to get a wooden box and play/pretend the emotion during photosession, I do not desire to have the same experience, thanks God I´m not going to have ...:-)

Date: 2007-01-08 02:43 pm (UTC)The "theme" of the photoshoot didn't impress me much either. Wood posing with wood. Not the most original concept.
But mostly it's because Elijah doesn't really seem into it. Normally in photoshoots he's projecting a persona: funny, sexy, etc., but in all but one of two of these photos, I don't see any spark in Elijah's normally expressive eyes. Perhaps he didn't like the photographer's concept either.

Date: 2007-01-10 06:24 pm (UTC)When one of these first appeared (hoodie, dark pants, leaning on milk box, one leg up at right angles to floor), I remember commenting the only innocence in the shot is in his hands. It was pure "come here"!
