Yesterday started the rumor that Elijah Wood would get possibilities to return as Frodo Baggins in the two parts of "The Lord of the Rings" prequel, directed by Peter Jackson, though the character does not appear in the book. Today, the rumor was confirmed, and it has revealed exactly how Frodo will take part in history. In 'The Hobbit', Frodo (Elijah Wood) appears at the beginning and end of the two films. These scenes were always part of the script that Peter Jackson and his team have been working over the past year, and it is speculated that Elijah Wood has long been known that he would appear in the prequels. The sequences in the film could also conceivably include appearances by Sam, Merry and Pippin.
