Eivissa (ABN).- John Hurt, patrono del primer ‘Eivissa y Formentera International Film Festival’, y el director Alex de la Iglésia, presentaron ayer en el Hotel Pachá de Eivissa su nueva película, todavía en construcción: “Los crímenes de Oxford”.
John Hurt se pone en manos de Alex de la Iglésia para dar vida a un prestigioso profesor de Oxford. “La película muestra a dos cabezas pensantes, el profesor y el alumno (Interpretado por Elijah Wood), que se destruyen en un campo de batalla que es una película de suspense”, contó en la reunión con la prensa. El film se basa en una adaptación de la novela del argentino Guillermo Martínez llamada “Crímenes sucesivos”, que ha obtenido el Premio Planeta en su país.
Alex de la Iglésia explicó que “antes del rodaje no conocía ni a John Hurt ni a Elijah Wood pero al terminar era como si fueran mis hermanos. Fue como dar un paseo y aprendí a escuchar más que nunca”.
Por su parte John Hurt destacó que no notó “ninguna diferencia” al trabajar con un director español: “Da igual si trabajas con un director español o con un marciano”.
John Hurt calificó de “interesante” trabajar con el director de Alex de la Iglésia, del que también dijo que “sabe llenar su espacio mejor que nadie”.

John Hurt puts itself into the hands of Alex of the Iglésia to give life to a prestigious professor of Oxford. "film shows two heads thinking, professor and student (Interpreted by Elijah Wood), which they are destroyed in a battlefield that is a suspense film", counted in the meeting with the press.
The film is based on an adaptation of the novel of the Argentinean Guillermo called Martinez "successive Crimes", that the Prize has obtained Planet in its country. Alex of the Iglésia explained that "before the running it knew neither John Hurt nor Elijah Wood but when finishing era as if they were my brothers. It was as to give a stroll and I learned to listen more than ever ".
On the other hand John Hurt emphasized that he did not notice "any difference" when working with a Spanish director: "He gives equal if you work with a Spanish director or a Martian". John Hurt described as "interesting" working with the director of Alex of the Iglésia, of which also he said that "he knows to fill his space better than nobody".
