Here's a Spanish article that mentions that Alex de la Iglesia has recently finished the Spanish dub for Oxford Murders.
Edited to replace a babelfished translation with an infinitely better one kindly done by Serai1.
The Basque director Alex de la Iglesia is in Barcelona completing the dubbing to Spanish of The Oxford Murder [literally "The Oxford Crimes"], filmed in English and starring American actors John Hurt and Elijah Wood. The film will open in English and Spanish on January 18.
The filmmaker seemed quite happy with the results of this shoot, which took place in the UK and which also starts Spanish actress Leonor Wailting. De la Iglesia's film is based on the novel by Argentinian Guillermo Martinez, The Imperceptible Crimes.
De la Iglesia, who today presented in Barcelona the title 200 of the collection Nove de Edicions B [?], said he's flying briefly to New York to show the final cut of the film to the lead actors, to encourage them to participate in the Spanish promotion campaign.
Regardless, the Basque director indicated that it might be difficult, since John Hurt is filming the fourth Indiana Jones installment and Wood is also immersed in other projects and did not commit.
About the adaptation of the legendary comic book by Edgard P. Jacobs, The Yellow Mark, de la Iglesia says he is in the adaptation phase of the script.
I don't know how accurate the article is. They have John Hurt down as being American which is one thing wrong for starters. Nevertheless, it seems to be progressing.
