Entertainment Weekly has posted its list of Top 30 Actors Under 30, and guess who's in it at #2!
WHY HIM The Lord of the Rings franchise made Wood a megastar, but the actor has used his box office power for good instead of evil in off-beat movies like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) and Everything Is Illuminated (2005).
WHAT'S NEXT Wood lends his voice to an upcoming feature-length version of 9 (2005), an award-winning animated short set in a post-apocalyptic world. Why there's not more is beyond us.
WORD.

And to be honest, I doubt that they would put Elijah before James McAvoy or Jamie Bell, seeing how they are everybody's (critic's) darling...
Just my opinion and how I understood it, so please don't attack me for it!

BTW James McAvoy needs to lose his scruff even worse than Elijah: if you have brown hair and your beard grows red, it's just a complete no go.

I already thought I had misunderstood the EW compilation, since everyone seems so sure that he's Nr.2 and I didn't understand it like that at all...
And I also agree that I don't see EW, a mainstream publication putting him higher than James McAvoy or Ryan Gosling...
I like the scruff on James McAvoy:)

I'm just happy he's there, because he totally deserves to be.

But if you know this, why make an entry saying that he's Nr.2, if he's not, since it's not a ranking?
And since most of the time when EW has a ranking they save the winner for last, his pic being the second would only imply that he was Nr.29 and not Nr.2...So I doubt that most people would assume he's Nr.2...
Anyway, I am glad he made the list, seeing how most of his projects have been out of the public eye lately, I am glad he got this recognition:)
Thanks for posting, by the way!
