OK, so you figured out it means "significant other"! ;-)
Actually I think if it were me I would prefer to have the SO there. I would feel MORE guilty and unfaithful if they weren't.
Maybe one day when you & I are famous movie stars, we can swap notes about our sex scenes, hey?!
