OXFORD MURDERS

For those in the UK - I've just found out OM is showing in Birmingham after all - at Vue Cinemas, Star City - it wasn't listed the last time I looked:

Also, don't forget 'Elijah Wood in the Hood' on E4 tomorrow morning 8 to 9 am - a whole hour of Elwood. Don't know what it's about but I expect he's introducing music.

OM was mentioed on This Morning today - a daytime programme on mainstream tv. Paul Ross (brother of Jonathan) spoke well of it - called it 'classy' and said it was a good film for anyone missing Inspector Morse and similar programmes. He said that despite the fact it wasn't going down well with some critics, he thought it was very good. They showed a clip which just happened to be the one where John pauses as he's standing next to my hubby. He (hubby) will be insufferable now he's appeared on a main tv channel - he's already been swanning round the house wearing sunglasses since we saw this same clip on the OM Close-Up!! I am completely blocked out by John. Probably a good thing.

Well it wasn't there when I looked either! Will go and have a look although now I've booked Leicester, I'll have to go. As for E4, can't get it so will hope that some of it may make it on to Youtube.

Not showing at my local VUE though. Still I'm glad it is getting around, it's not like the big blockbusters every where but with some of Elijah's films we were lucky to get them in one independent cinema in London.

I am quite glad to see it being advertised and getting out and about here an there but I do wonder whether whoever has the finances to do a big thing. As you can probably work out I have no idea how these promotion thing all works but I guess there's some big, expensive machinations involved.

Not_alone is right - OM is on at Star City which leaves me feeling a bit bad now. It must have been added on Monday. I decided to book a ticket for Leicester just incase, [it being a small screen], I got there only to find it full. You never know - if other people like me decided to go because it was their nearest cinema, I could find myself unable to get in. Unlikely I hear you say but stranger things have happened. Star City is still a 25 mins drive away but it is closer. It does say that the ticket is non refundable so I would lose £7.40 if I decided against going. Ah well!
