You've taken the role of Anna in the Maniac remake. Have you seen the original?

Nora Arnezeder: You know what, I'm gonna watch it. I didn't want to watch it before I did this because the movie we shot with Elijah Wood is going to be a very different direction. I didn't want to be stuck in the first version, you know what I mean? It's going to be so different, shot in POV. Elijah Wood is something that is half-angel/half-devil, so you don't expect him as a killer/maniac, but I'm telling you, he's the man! He's the man for that movie, it's going to be fantastic. Also, I love Alexandre Aja [the screenwriter] and horror movies when they're well made. Aja did all my favorite horror movies. Also, Franck Khalfoun is the director, very talented, very modern rock 'n roll guy. It was so cool. We shot it in downtown LA, and it's kind of a psychological movie with a maniac. You're inside the maniac, and it's very interesting.

What a great quote. Thanks for posting. I have the feeling that such a half-angel/half-devil role is what Elijah may be best at. Although I'm not a horror fan, I'll definitely try to see this movie.

I agree! Can't wait for this movie. The whole concept of horror with actual characters -- characters who have a complex psychology -- feels like something I've been looking for ever since I discovered movies. I can't wait for this one.

from the start i figured this movie would be much more than the original. first, it really surprised me that elijah did the remake. he contradicted himself for years of saying remakes suck and the fact that it's a horror remake? an ultimate fan of slasher horror films? that's when i knew something was quite different with it and that's what made elijah do the film.

psychological horror films are right up my alley so if it does come out, i'll be there! thanks for posting this.

I am glad that it isn't so like the original as I may have avoided it, but you know that I would face it out as it's one of Elijah's, so knowing it's not a typical slasher, I will be there if we get it in the UK, I think I heard you say before that you are a fan of Horror !
