I had thought that his and Sean's frienships might have gone through a sticky patch a while back .... but last year ..... Elijah said something to the effect that he was spending a lot more time with Sean these days.

I was a little surprised when he didn't mention Sean on the radio yesterday.
On re-listening to the interview from the download kindly supplied by earths_daughter it was clear that, after mentioning Dom & Billy, he went off at a bit of a tangent after Viggo was mentioned, with him being on location in London at present.
I also remember that Sean or Elijah once described their friendship as complex (might have been Sean in his book).
Yes, he did say that in the book but I think he's indicated similar sentiments elsewhere too.
Maybe the reality is that Elijah has more in common with Dom and Billy so he talks with them more often, whereas maybe he catches up with Sean just when he has the time.
I think that lifestyle-wise he probably has more in common with Dom, but then I think Sean lives not far away so they could easily meet up without it involving loads of travel.
Oh yes that "bloody hobbit" cover quote. I'm not sure that Elijah actually says that in the interview. I think it was something the mag made up for the cover. Makes me wonder why Elijah would be ok with it though.
No, I really doubt that Elijah would ever actually say that about hobbits! I doubt, too, that the mag would have sent a sample cover for his approval, and it was just an editorial decision that Elijah had no control over.
