Thank you so much for sharing that with us. I really can understand Elijah feeling the strain of being at the mercy by fans or celebrity-seekers when he is trying to work. I think people fail to have an appreciation for the actor's work and the fact that it's not just a day of fun for them, like it probably is for the extra. The actor is performing only one moment from a whole movie and so they must concentrate on what they are doing the whole time. Even in between shots people need to appreciate the lead actors have so much more responsibility and need for concentration than the extra.

I'm so surprised and disappointed that Alex asked people to applaud when John and Elijah entered. What a wank! I'd like to think that what you witnessed in Elijah's reaction was embarassment.
